Weaver Mary Lane speaking at 2007 American Tapestry Alliance symposium co-sponsored by the GFR Tapestry Center at the San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles, California

From 1998 to 2006, the GFR Center sponsored free public Annual Gloria F. Ross Lectures, usually in collaboration with a museum or another educational organization. From time to time, we also collaborate with other non-profit groups on conferences, exhibits, publications, and workshops. All of our collaborations, including events at the Arizona State Museum, serve to explain the varied aspects of tapestry and to encourage the worldwide understanding of tapestry as a fascinating art form.
