Ross, and woven under the direction of Archie Brennan at the Dovecot Studies in Edinburgh, Scotland. The translation of Nevelson\u2019s torn paper collages into large-scale woven works represents an intriguing collaboration. <\/span><span>Inspired by a visit from the East Coast artist to the American Southwest,<\/span><span> the resulting <\/span><span>artworks were <span>evocatively named \u201cDesert\u201d (MFA-Boston), \u201cDusk in the Desert,\u201d \u201cLandscape,\u201d \u201cMirror Desert,\u201d \u201cNight Mountain,\u201d \u201cReflection,\u201d and \u201cThe Late, Late Moon.\u201d These are also illustrated and described in Hedlund\u2019s 2010 book, <em>Gloria F.
